“Assalamu Alaikum” It is hereby informed to the concerned public that we have constituted a trust named Haji Abdul Rahim (Geda/Thakur Mia) Welfare Trust (HARWT) in the memory of “Late Haji Abdul Rahim”.
At HARWT we allocate our funds across various areas, aligned with Islamic principles and aimed at supporting those in need. Here are some common areas where your donations are spent:
Zakat Distribution: Zakat, one of the Five Pillars of Islam, is an obligatory form of charity. Muslim charities often collect and distribute Zakat to help the poor and needy, including orphans, widows, and those in debt.
Food Aid: Providing food to those in need, especially during Ramadan and Eid, is a significant focus. This includes distributing food parcels, setting up community kitchens, and organising Iftar meals.
Health and Medical Aid: Funding healthcare projects, including building hospitals, clinics, and providing medical supplies and services. This can also include supporting individuals with medical expenses.
Education: Supporting educational initiatives such as building schools, providing scholarships, and supplying educational materials to underprivileged children and adults.
Clean Water and Sanitation: Implementing projects to provide access to clean drinking water, constructing wells, and improving sanitation facilities in communities lacking these essential resources.
Emergency Relief: Responding to natural disasters and humanitarian crises by providing emergency aid, including shelter, food, water, and medical care to affected populations.
Community Development: Investing in long-term development projects aimed at improving the overall quality of life for communities, such as housing projects, livelihood programmes, and infrastructure development.
Orphan Care: Funding orphanages, providing financial support to orphans, and ensuring their access to education, healthcare, and a safe living environment.
Religious Activities: Supporting religious activities such as the construction and maintenance of mosques, providing religious education, and distributing religious literature.
Advocacy and Awareness: Running campaigns to raise awareness about various social issues, including poverty, injustice, and the importance of charity.
HARWT aims to follow the principles of Islam in our charitable activities, ensuring that funds are used to benefit those most in need and to promote social welfare and justice.
